About us Education Beyond Borders (EBB) is how the University of Edinburgh responds to global displacement in higher education – supporting students whose studies have been disrupted and academics who have been forced to leave their institutions or countries. We do this through funding, support, and collaborative and community-led initiatives, helping displaced scholars to continue their education and rebuild their futures. Scholarships and fellowships EBB offers scholarships and fellowships for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students and academics who have been displaced or are at risk. Scholar support Support is a core part of EBB. From welcome to graduation, we support students throughout their time in Edinburgh. Partnerships We work with a range of organisations to support displaced scholars and to share knowledge and information. Research Our research focuses on forced migration, displacement, and what it takes to make higher education genuinely accessible for displaced scholars.
